Tucson’s Newest Wilderness Medicine Provider

Southern Arizona is home to some of the most breathtaking backcountry, and many Arizonians go into the remote areas to recreate. Often folks don’t realize the danger their hobbies put them in, and find themselves unprepared when mother nature catches them unawares.

The wilderness medicine offerings have been few and far between in Southern Arizona for years. Often those courses have averaged near $800 for the general public. This is quite the investment for those that are not professionals, and are general recreationalist.

Southwest Remote Medicine recognized this disconnect and launched this fall with one goal in mind. To increase access and safety in the backcountry by providing American Red Cross Wilderness and Remote First Aid courses at a low cost.

Starting a small business in the middle of a pandemic might not be the most shrewd business move, but SWRemoteMed views themselves more as a public service than a small business.

Southwest Remote Medicine not only offers Wilderness and Remote First Aid, but also CPR, First Aid and AED courses as well. Contact them at inquiry@SWRemoteMed.com for more info.
